Gayle

My name is Gayle, and I am the Nursery Manager at Ark Day Nursery. I have worked here for the past seven years, starting as an Early Years Practitioner before progressing to my current role as Manager.

I have over 30 years of experience in childcare and hold a BTEC National Diploma in Early Years, along with a Level 3 SENCO qualification. I am passionate about supporting children to learn, develop, and grow in confidence and independence, while ensuring they receive the best possible start in life.

Outside of work, I am a proud mum to two grown-up sons. My eldest lives in Ireland, so I enjoy visiting him whenever I can. In my free time, I love cooking, watching movies, and spending quality time with my family and friends.

My name is Maddie, I have worked in childcare for two years. I started at Ark Day Nursery as an apprentice and have recently completed My level 3 Early years Educator qualification which I am very proud of.

I enjoy spending my spare time at the gym, making memories with my family and friends; in particular my yearly holiday to Turkey to visit family.

I like exploring new places and take lots of mini breaks to a variety of places.

My favourite thing about childcare is building bonds and watching as children grow and reach their milestones.

My name is Gracie-Mae Robinson, but I prefer being called Gracie. I am 17 years old. I am currently working towards my level 3 qualification. In my spare time I love going to watch Bradford City and socialising with my friends. I am in childcare because I like being part of the child's development and helping them to learn skills for life. Watching the differences children can make in such a short amount of time is so rewarding as I feel like I am part of that journey

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends and love socialising whenever I can. I am also a keen fan northern soul music and enjoy attending Northern Soul events.

One of the most rewarding parts of working in childcare is watching children grow in confidence, develop new skills and achieve their milestones.

Hi my name is Natasha i'm level 3 qualified in my spare time i like to visit family and friends go shopping and go on outings to the soft play with my little boy . I chose to work in childcare as ive had lots of experience working in different settings and I love to watch children thrive and watch their development grow and be their person they can depend on.

My name is Kiran, I am based in Cheeky Monkeys our toddler room.

I currently hold a level 3 qualification but would like to expand my knowledge and skills with further training to move forward in my career.

I am passionate about my chosen role because I enjoy watching children grow into their own personalities, I feel like a learn lots from them too as the years go by.

In my spare time I love to travel, Pilates, painting, and being around wonderful company.

My name is Abbie I have been at Ark for a year now , family is very important to me , I have been with my partner for almost 9 years we have been engaged for 2 I have 2 children who are 9 and 7 who are very outgoing independent children , I enjoy days out at the seaside , movies and spending time with my elderly grandma , I currently hold a Level 5 teaching degree in Supporting Teaching and Learning , I have always worked in childcare from the age of 16 either in a school environment or a nursery setting as this is something I enjoy , shaping children and getting them ready for school as they progress further into their childhood , Since March 2026 I have been the SENCO at Ark and I am very much enjoying and developing in my role as I am learning more and more as I go along with the support of managers and SENCO's from other nurseries

I have a real passion for reading and am a huge Harry Potter fan, you will often find me with a good book in my spare time. I also love travelling to visit my friends, who are spread across the world and enjoy experiencing new place while spending time with my friends.

Working with children is something I love. There is nothing better than them laugh and listening to their funny stories they have to tell.

A few things of my favourite things in life are keeping active, exploring new places and making memories with people I care about. Going to the gym is something I enjoy and helps me feel better. I also love day trips and little adventures, whether its discovering somewhere new or visiting my favourite place.

My name is Honey; I have been at Ark Day Nursery for a year and a half working towards my level 3 qualification in childcare. As part of my apprenticeship, I spent some time in Uganda volunteering with the children and I gained not only a once in a lifetime experience but also the opportunity to learn about the experiences of children and practitioners in other parts of the world.

My favourite part of my role is getting to know the children and little personalities.

In my spare time I like to go shopping and spend time with my friends and family.

I hold an NVQ level 3 Early Years Care and Education.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends making memories, watching my two boys play football and rugby and I spend many weekends supporting and encouraging them from the side lines.

I am passionate about working in child because I find it rewarding to watch the children grow, develop new skills and gain confidence as they learn through play.

My name is Jane I have an NNEB Diploma in childcare, and I have been with Ark Day Nursery many years, a total of 16 years!

In my spare time I enjoy spending time at my caravan with my family which is in Skegness and taking my sausage dog for a walk with my little girl.

I work in childcare as I enjoy helping children grow and to see them develop new skills and meet their milestones.

I also love seeing their little faces each morning light up when I arrive at work each day.

I am friendly and sociable person who loves spending time with friends having fun. I also enjoy cooking and baking and I love trying out new recipes for family and friends.

I really enjoy my role as a nursery cook, where I have the opportunity to create healthy nutritious and delicious meals for the children every day. It also brings me happiness knowing that I can help encourage healthy eating while preparing food that the children enjoy.
